After reading Duels and Deception by Cindy Anstey I was very much looking forward to reading The Hummingbird Dagger. This work had a great premise of a regency mystery with a promising start. Anstey's characters all held unique personalities-Beth in particular- that developed gradually. While it is not as action filled as previous works, Anstey still created a mysterious ambiance that carried throughout The Hummingbird Dagger.
